Sidari, Corfu

Spending a relaxing week in Corfu with Maria and Aidan. It’s very, very hot- 38° on average during the day and a balmy 28° during the night. Thank goodness for air conditioning, that’s all I say.

Took a boat out today along the north coast of Corfu. It really is a lovely place.

Lazy day by the pool. Tan coming on nicely.

This is my first time in Corfu and it won’t be the last, There really is something for everybody.

Waterphone and singing bowls!

Today I played with the Scarborough Symphony Orchestra at the Methodist Central Hall, Scarborough. The programme contained the following pieces-

Paul WILSON – fig j (world première)
GLIÈRE – Concerto for Coloratura Soprano (Elaine Dave)
SAINT-SAËNS – Danse Macabre
LIADOV – The Enchanted Lake
BORODIN – Polovtsian Dances

The weird and wonderful; the Paul Wilson piece Fig J called for a waterphone and singing bowls! not an everyday occurrence but very effective

Sister Act

Sister Act setupI’ve been doing Sister Act for Croft House Theatre Company this week at the Lyceum in Sheffield – A great feel good show with some great music and percussion parts 🙂
